Epoch (Grades 7 through 12)

David and Laurie Joiner, Directors

Pastor David Joiner was born in Miami, FL in 1963. He moved to Texas in 1968 where he later met and married his wife, Laurie (Preuss) Joiner. Laurie is a native Texan and was raised in a small town named Taylor located north of Austin. In 1977, Pastor David gave his heart to the Lord and was healed from the pains of an abusive childhood. In November 1999, the Lord led Pastor David and his family to LifeSprings Christian Church where he has continued to grow in his knowledge and passion for the Lord. He has two daughters, Kaitlin and Kristen, who both love to be in the house of the Lord.

Pastor David and his beautiful wife, Laurie are enthusiastic about their ministry to the youth. Their passion for the Lord is infectious and they are incredible role models for growing youth. Pastor David believes that children are the heart of the family, and youth who know who they are in the Lord, and who are committed to walk in His blessings are able to be a blessing to their parents, as well as bring His peace to their siblings.

The youth ministry, our youth will experience spiritual growth as never before and will operate in their giftings at new depths. They will take ownership of the direction the group takes and become leaders who see to it that their purpose is fulfilled.

Youth who have a godly perspective of money are less of a financial drain, and are more likely to live within their budget (allowance). Today's youth go into the mission field every--their schools. When they are trained and equipped, they will bring God's healing love through prophetic words leading to healing and redemption.

Epoch Youth Ministry is made up of a united group of youth that love God, and are not afraid to live out loud.

The goal of Epoch is to grow strong in the knowledge of God and walk with Him...to be an influence that will draw this generation to Him, rather than being influenced by the world and being drawn away.
